About Me

My Photo
The story thus far... Just an average college student from Smallville, New York, Jessica had no idea about the future that lay in store for her. One day, on her way home from school, she was not bitten by a mutant spider or caught in the middle in some sort of accident involving radioactivity. As we know now, radiation would not induce super human abilities, but more likely cause cancer. From humble beginnings came Super Jessica! As opposed to any other other superhero who either has real powers or who bought them, she has only non-super powers, but she is super at them. Among Super Jessica’s abilities are knitting, baking, trivia, sarcasm, and data entry. And, now, for our adventure...

Great Moments in Socks, Part Deux

So, I finished one of the two pairs of socks I was knitting simultaneously and now, as promised, I will tell you all about them.
The winner is Spring Forward. I finished them last night and wore them out to Olive Garden. No one at Olive Garden saw them. No one ever sees my wonderful socks.

I still have quite a bit of TOFUtsies leftover from these socks. And my adjustment to the gauge was fine; they fit the way I expected them to.
I'm still working on my Vampire Boyfriend socks.

I'm about two-thirds through the foot. I expect that it will only take a few more hours of knitting before they're done. And as I now have a week until graduation and nothing to do but pack up my dorm room and knit, I am going to knit. A lot.

Here they are again from the back. The heels stick out in a funny way when they aren't on a pair of feet.
I suspect that I'll have a lot of leftover yarn from these as well.
I could start knitting another, a third, pair of socks before I finished knitting my vampire socks. I have sock yarn and a pattern in mind for socks to give my dad for Christmas.
We'll see...
